ENTREVISTA A SEBASTIAN VETTEL DESPUÉS DE LA POLE

Ayer, al terminar la sesión de cualificación y Vettel lograr la Pole Position para hoy, se hizo rueda de prensa a este joven piloto de Red Bull. Aquí tenéis las preguntas y sus respuestas.

PREGUNTA 1: "Sebastian, the testing did not tell us very much. You have picked up where you left off but how big a surprise is pole for you?"

(Los entrenamientos de pretemporada no nos decían mucho de tu monoplaza. Has logrado romper con las estadísticas, pero ¿la pole te la esperabas?)

RESPUESTA DE VETTEL: A big surprise. I mean in winter testing no-one really knew where we were. Of course it was clear that there was four teams pretty strong, but close to each other. To be honest yesterday it was a very tough day for us and we had not as much running as we were hopping for. Another long night specially for the mechanics, not a lot of sleep, some tired faces, but everybody was still keen this morning to push. Iknew we had a great car but first of all you have to get it together. I have to say practise this morning and qualifying went pretty smoothly. Obviously I am very, very happy to be on pole, so thanks to the team. As I said the boys didn't get much sleep in the last month with a lot of testing in a short amount of time. To come here first time everyone really shows how strong they are and to be on top is definitely a very, very nice feeling.

(Es una gran sorpresa. Quiero decir con esto, que en los entrenamientos de invierno nadie sabía realmente dónde nos encontrábamos. Lógicamente estaba claro que había cuatro equipos ligeramente por encima d elos demás, pero no a mucha distancia. Para ser honesto, ayer fue un día muy duro para nosotros y no pudimos correr como esperábamos. Otra noche larga, especialmente para los mecanicos, que no tuvieron casi tiempo para dormir, habían caras cansadas, pero todo el mundo estaba preparado esta mañana para empezar. Sabía que tenía un coche genial pero el piloto tiene que ir junto con él. Las prácticas de primera hora de la mañana han ido acompañadas de algún bostezo. Obviamente estoy muy contento para estar en la pole, así que gracias al equipo. Como he dicho, los chicos no han tenido mucho tiempo para dormir durante un mes entero, con muchos entrenamientos y pruebas en muy poco período de tiempo. Al venir aquí por primera vez, el equipo qería mostrar lo fuertes que somos, y estar arriba del todo es definitivamente, un sentimiento muy satisfactorio)

PREGUNTA 2: "Sebastian, you start the race on the same tyres you qualifyied on. Just give us a bit of linkling into your thinking on that"

(Empezarás la carrera con el mismo tipo de neumáticos que con los que te has clasificado. Sólo danos un pequeño indicio de porqué piensas en eso)

RESPUESTA DE VETTEL: I think we all don't know really what will happen tomorrow. It could be exciting. It could be very boring. That is what I hope for. That is what all of us like to be more or less where we start. I think it's a difficult decision situationto be in. The first part of the race will be crucial but on the other hand it is not a big secret that you need to take care of your tyres and the question marks what you do with your strategy. A lot of things unknown I have to say, so all of us we don't know what to expect tomorrow.

(Creo que nadie de nosotros sabe realmente que pasará mañana. Podría ser emocionante. Podría ser muy aburrido. Esto es lo que estoy esperando. Esto es lo que todos nosotros nos gustaría saber cuando empezemos. Creo que es una decisión complicada. La primera parte de la carrera será crucial pero al otro lado, no es ningún secreto que tenemos que ir con cuidado a la hora de escoger los neumáticos y la pregunta marca qué haremos con nuestra estrategia. Hay un montón de cosas sin saber, lo tengo que decir, así que nadie de nosotros sabe qué expectativas hay para mañana)
